Description

FPAPR is a non profit independent organization incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of PR in 1989. It is a renowned volunteer service organization devoted at helping at-risk children and youths of PR.The FPAPR is administered by a 15 member executive committee of volunteer women with diverse expertise, and managed to an active volunteer group of 52 members who work in 7 committees.The members are also involved actively with the Dept. of Social Services helping the government with decisions regarding children temporarily under the Department’s custody for their placement in shelters or return to their biological parents.Also FPAPR has helped achieve changes in the Legislation to favor the adoption process in PR.Members of FPAPR have played a very important part in creating and lobbying in the Senate and House for the well being of the neglected children of PR FPAPR is presently engaged in building an Endowment Fund to ensure our future as an Organization serving this country.
