Front Range Equine Rescue

Front Range Equine Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit working to end the abuse and neglect of horses through rescue and education. Since its beginning in 1997, Front Range has helped over 1,000 horses with direct rescue efforts and countless others via its educational and advocacy programs. Horses enter the rescue program from low-end auctions, kill lots, owner surrender, and animal control seizure cases. Front Range Equine Rescue has innovative programs to assist horse owners with discounts on gelding stud colts/stallions and humane euthanasia assistance. Educational efforts deal with horse abuse issues and responsible horse ownership. Front Range Equine Rescue is a leader in its national efforts to responsibly end horse slaughter as well as a national campaign "save the wild horses" to protect America's dwindling mustang herds. FRER was incorporated in Colorado in 1997 and recently expanded direct rescue efforts at a foster farm in Virginia and relocated its headquarters to Ocala, FL.
