“Friends School in Detroit (FSD) is committed to the pursuit of academic excellence for its students and to instilling long-standing Quaker values which include a 350-year commitment to the sacredness of life, justice, honesty, simple lifestyles, respect for all people and non-violent solving of conflicts. We are an urban school dedicated to establishing ourselves as a leader among sister members of The National Association of Independent Schools located in similar geographical settings. We have a healthy family component complete with an active Family Association, Parent/Grandparent Volunteer Program and parents serving on both the Board of Trustees and its subcommittees. Together with our families, we help children grow intellectually, socially and spiritually.”
