Description
The Friends of The Old Exchange are a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of South Carolina's most historic building, The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon (c.1771). The Old Exchange building is one of the original thirteen locations where the U.S. Constitution was ratified. During the Revolutionary War, patriots were imprisoned in the cellar (dungeon) by British occupiers. The Friends of The Old Exchange provide financial and volunteer support for this historic building and its educational programming.
