The Galilee Society is the largest and oldest Palestinian Arab non-partisan, community-wide non-governmental organization (NGO) located in Israel. It was established in 1981 by four healthcare professionals. The Galilee Society is committed to achieving equitable health, environmental, and socio-economic conditions for Arab citizens of Israel. It is a standard bearer in health and environmental advocacy on behalf of Arab citizens of Israel. We are an active participant in the struggle for equity in health and development for national ethnic minorities in industrialized countries worldwide. The General Program is comprised of four professional departments: 1) Health Rights Center for the Palestinian Minority in Israel; 2) Environmental Justice Center for the Palestinian Minority in Israel; 3) Rikaz Databank for the Palestinian Minority in Israel (www.rikaz.org); 4) The Naqab (Negev) Department.
