Description

Our Mission is to provide vital support to each of our 8 Calaveras County library locations. This support comes in many forms. Your tax-deductible contribution enables the Friends to:

1. Provide valuable support for special programming:

Calaveras Adult Literacy Program/Tutoring Services
Conversation Circles for improved English skills
Computer Skills tutoring
Summer Reading Program
Author visits
Story hours and children’s craft programs (at all locations)
Other programming opportunities for children and adults

2. Provide enhancement to the county library collection:

3. Provide increased financial support to purchase more books, DVD’s, unabridged audio books and E-books;

4. Provide for online newspaper and reference subscription databases including genealogy; and,

5. Provide funding for duplicate copies of materials needed for book club discussions (Book Club in a Box).
