Description
Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Bernard, Incorporated was formed to provide support for the government-run St. Bernard Parish Animal Control Shelter by raising funds for programs designed to reduce the number of animals euthanized in our shelter. Ultimately our goal is to make the whole of St. Bernard Parish a "No Kill Community" by preventing the births of unwanted litters, increasing shelter adoptions, public education, and improving conditions of sheltered pets. FOAS also raises funds for equipment, capital improvements, and other essential items which the shelter has no budget for. Funds are also used for special projects, building improvements and endowments.
