Description
With a mission to provide increased opportunity, education and inspiration to the young people of Washington, DC and the surrounding area through ice skating and educational activities, the Friends of Fort Dupont Ice Arena (FDIA) serves over 7,000 children annually through the free KOI community skating program. Participants primarily consist of at-risk youth and teens from Southeast Washington, DC. With all equipment provided, FDIA engages children in hockey, speed skating, figure skating, synchronized skating, and Learn to Skate classes.
