Description

The Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens promote the Gardens as a unique resource for understanding and enjoying nature, horticulture, recreation and the environment. Through sponsorship of programs emphasizing education, the arts and the Gardens as a living museum, the Friends endeavor to preserve and enhance the natural and historical assets of the Gardens for its visitors.
We have childrens hortiuculture programs: Plant Hope, Children's Plant Science, Growing Gardeners, Birthday Parties, Summer Programs. We have adult education programs: Guided Garden tours, Garden Walks, Botanical Arts, Horticulture Education, Annual Symposium.
We host two fundraising events to support our educational efforts: Annual GArdens Party and Annual Walk-A-Thon. We are joining the national"No Child Left Inside" movement.
