Friends and Relatives of Institutionalized Aged (FRIA), founded in 1976, is dedicated to promoting the dignity and independence of seniors in long term care settings, with a special emphasis on those in residential facilities, and ensuring their prompt, high quality and compassionate care. FRIA is the leading independent provider of information on all aspects of long term health care in New York State. For decades, working with and through family, friends, and residents themselves, FRIA has been a leader in the fight for long term care reform in New York.
