The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, headquartered at Graymoor in Garrison, New York, is a Roman Catholic religious order with pastoral, social and ecumenical ministries in the United Stated, Canada, England, Italy and Japan.
Since 1898, the friars have followed the divine inspiration of their founder, Father Paul Wattson, who saw a new meaning in the name: at-ONE-ment – the unity of men and women with God and each other. To this day, the friars continue to work for Christian
unity and greater interreligious understanding; to serve the poor and needy, the homeless, those in hospitals, people seeking recovery from alcoholism and chemical dependency; and to help those living with HIV/AIDS.
In all their ministries, they continue to…”heal wounds…to unite…to bring home those who have lost their way."
