Description
Since 1976 Fremont Open Plan is an alternative public school of Modesto City Schools District, available by open enrollment. Open education is an alternative approach with emphasis on student responsibility for self, active parent involvement and acceptance that no two children are alike. We believe children must be given a great variety of opportunities to develop basic skills, interests, and talents, according to their own strengths and needs. Student's academic placement needs are considered on an individual basis encouraging each to progress at their own rate of learning. Parents are a vital part of FOP, participating in classrooms, holding Parent Advisory Group office, serving on and chairing committees, and by providing unique learning experiences through enrichment activities. FOP is an exciting place for children that supports who they are and encourages who they are becoming.
