Description

Fred Finch Youth Center brings hope and healing to children and young adults with severe emotional disturbances and developmental disabilities by developing their natural strengths, fortifying bonds within families, and supporting their mental and emotional progression to independence. Founded as an orphanage in 1891, today Fred Finch Youth Center provides a continuum of mental health, education, and social service programs for over 1,200 youth and their families each year. Our strength-based, family-centered services include in-home crisis intervention, individual and family therapy, special education, job coaching, residential treatment, and school-based counseling that enable youth and families to turn their lives around. We operate these programs on our main campus in Oakland, on satellite campuses in Vacaville and San Diego, and in homes, schools, and communities in over a dozen counties throughout California.
