Foxfire Fund

The Foxfire Fund, Inc. is a not-for-profit, educational, literary and cultural organization based in Rabun County, Georgia. Founded in 1966, Foxfire's community based approach is advocated through The Foxfire Museum and Heritage Site. By interpreting the Southern Appalachian culture that gave rise to the Foxfire Magazine and Foxfire Book Series, it promotes a sense of place and appreciation of local people, community, and culture as essential educational tools. The Foxfire Approach to Teaching and Learning is a national program of teacher training and support.
