Description
The LA Winds is an ensemble of 85 (2006) community members and students who are amateur, semi-professional, and professional musicians.
The ensemble, based at Pierce College and led by Stephen Piazza, performs a variety of significant works from the symphonic wind repetoire.
The six-concert season includes joint appearances with local college, university, and adult ensembles as well as chamber ensemble performances by LA Winds members.
One of the season's highlights is the annual spring tour, which has enabled the LA Winds to perform for audiences throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
