Description
FACC strives to create permanency in the life of every foster child by recruiting and supporting foster/adoptive families in the greater St. Louis community. FACC has created innovative, unique, and groundbreaking adoption programs like Extreme Recruitment (featured in the January 10, 2011 issue of TIME Magazine) and 30 Days to Family. We find homes for even the hardest-to-place youth who would otherwise grow up in foster care and age out with no forever family.
FACC also provides critical support services to foster/adoptive parents to give them the tools they need to help the children in their care heal from past trauma that most of us cannot even imagine. Of the parents who participate in our programs, 98% continue in the system as opposed to a national average of just 40%.
