Forums Institute promotes the development of sound public policy through education, research and communication. Forums Institute has convened more than 50 New Jersey Policy Forums on Health and Medical Care.
Forums Institute is currently implementing Walk a Mile, a program that bridges the gap between policymakers and their low-income constituents whose lives are affected by government policy. Participants "walk a mile" in each other's shoes during the month-long program, including joining in two in-person activities scha as going to the grocery store, food bank or welfare office and attending a public hearing, community meeting or visiting the legislature.
