Description
Food For Thought Ojai was created by parents and professionals in the Ojai community to improve childhood nutrition in our schools while supporting local farmers. Working in partnership with the Ojai Unified School District, we raise funds to provide in-class nutrition education, garden-based learning lessons, farm field trips and fresh, seasonal, locally-grown fruits and vegetables for the school lunch program. By doing this, we hope to teach children to make healthy choices that will last a lifetime, and to reconnect them to the land that sustains them. Healthy minds, bodies and environment are the objectives that guide every aspect of the Food For Thought farm-to-school program.
