Description

The Florida Trust’s mission is to promote the preservation of the architectural, historical and archaeological heritage of Florida through advocacy, education and historic property stewardship.

The Florida Trust is entering its 34th year of statewide advocacy for legislation and partners with the Florida Department of State’s Office of Cultural and Historical Programs; together they have been instrumental in the development of the nation’s preeminent state funded preservation program.

The educational programs include a quarterly newsletter, the Professional Development Workshop Series, an Annual Statewide Conference, and Historic Advocacy Day.

The FTHP carries out its mission of historic property stewardship through ownership of Bonnet House, a 35-acre property in South Florida, and the 1910 Queen Anne Florida Trust headquarters in Tallahassee. In addition, it promotes the protection of historically significant properties through its conservation easement program.
