Description
The First Step House of Orange County, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that oversees the Charle Street and Hamilton House social model recovery facilities in Costa Mesa, CA. These facilities serve the local community by assisting indigent men who have severe drinking problems.
Charle Street is a short-term residential facility that provides room and board for up to twenty-one recovering alcoholics. It is the only facility of its kind in Orange County that offers this type of service and care, free of charge, to the men it serves.
Hamilton House provides affordable medium-term housing for up to twelve newly recovering alcoholics. It provides a sober, structured environment that assists men in building a firm foundation for their continued long-term sobriety and personal growth.
