Description

First Step Fund is a non-profit organization whose programming offers a unique alternative for individuals receiving public assistant or working in low-paying jobs. Through a melding of community development, economic development and social services, First Step Fund provides business training, access to capital and ongoing support to low- to moderate-income individuals who want to start or enhance small businesses (known as microenterprises). We were established in 1993 through the efforts of leaders from the civic, corporate, banking and non-profit communities.
