Description

F·E·G·S is one of the largest and most diversified not-for-profit health and human services organizations in the United States.

Each year F·E·G·S assists over 100,000 people – some 10,000 each day – at more than 300 locations throughout New York City and Long Island.

F·E·G·S service delivery network includes: employment, career, and workforce development; help for individuals transitioning from welfare to work; behavioral health, developmental disabilities and rehabilitation programs; residential services; home care; services to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, older adults, refugees and immigrants, families in need, youth at risk, those with substance abuse problems, services for individuals facing life-limiting or end-of-life illness, and many others.

F·E·G·S has assisted more than three million people since its founding in 1934 by the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, now UJA-Federation of New York, of which F·E·G·S is a beneficiary agency.
