Description

We are a small non-profit 501 C3 rescue group located in Port Trevorton, PA - approx. 45 miles North of Harrisburg, Pa along Rts. 11 and 15. We take in stray, ab andoned and surrendered collies and work with many shelters in Pa, GA, KY, WV, VA and Md. We educate the public about the collie breed and their care. Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy haven for all dogs placed in our care until loving, adoptive homes can be found. We have all of our dogs first examined by a Vet, all necessary shots given, heartworm/lymes tested and any other thing which needs to be done to make the dog healthy. We have families fill out an application after we speak with them on the telephone to gain necessary information. Then we do a home visit/home check to ensure that our rescues go to the right kind of loving, caring home. We then have the adopters fill out a contract which states many things including that we take the dog back if, for any reason, they can no longer keep the dog.
