Description
Family Wellness and Recovery Services of NC, Inc. (FWRS), a private, nonprofit 501 (C) (3) agency, located on a 38.4-acre site in rural Pittsboro, North Carolina, was established in 1996 and operates the Hope Meadow Program, a therapeutic residential treatment community for pregnant women in recovery from substance dependence disorders and their children. Since 2004 the agency has also operated the Continued Hope Aftercare Program which provides relapse prevention groups and community support services to graduates of the Hope Meadow program. Family Wellness and Recovery Services of NC, Inc. contracts with Orange-Person-Chatham Area Program, a local management entity (LME) of the state of North Carolina. FWRS programs are dedicated to providing comprehensive residential and aftercare treatment services to women, enabling them to live drug-free, have healthy babies and enhance the overall quality of their life.
