Description
From its origins in 1835, Family Service of Greater Boston has served children, youth, and families overcoming with the emotional, psychological, and economic effects of poverty, abuse, and neglect. Our programs include prevention, education, skill-building, mental health and trauma therapy, and case management to prevent and alleviate risk factors which could lead to permanent disability, family and community crisis, and increasing social cost. FSGB offers a continuum of care for children and their families which promotes safe, stable relationships and leads to development and strengthening of cognitive, emotional and social competence, fewer behavioral problems, and enhanced thinking and reasoning skills in school.
