Family Rescue is dedicated to alleviating domestic violence in the Chicago community by providing comprehensive support services and shelter to victims of domestic violence, particularly to abused women and their children; engaging in systemic advocacy to promote future change; and encouraging prevention through community education. Through our emergency shelter, transitional housing and daycare, legal advocacy, and community outreach programs we have been providing free, confidential services in English and Spanish for 25 years. Our services include but are not limited to a 24 hour crisis line; individual and group counseling for women and children; child care; advocacy with the legal system, social service agencies, and schools; safe refuge; permanent housing and employment searches; violence prevention and education in schools and community groups; and crisis intervention.
