Family Counseling Services of Greater Miami, Inc. (FCS) improves the lives of children and families through prevention programs, mental health counseling and support services. FCS believes that a strong family unit provides children with a sense of belonging, a critical sense of value and gives them a vital network for social support.

Founded in 1917, Family Counseling Services is the longest serving agency dedicated to promoting mental health and emotional wellness in Miami-Dade County.

Eighty percent of the clients seen by FCS are children (toddlers to eighteen) and their family members. These can include siblings, parents and non-offending care givers. Adults are seen on a more limited basis with the exception of our Journey Institute’s unique program for survivors of sexual abuse/violence. Nearly all clients fall below the poverty line and live in depressed neighborhoods throughout Miami-Dade County
