Description

Family and Youth Initiative (DCFYI) helps teens in foster care find adoptive families and make lasting connections with other caring adults.
We create enriching lifetime relationships for youth at risk of aging out of foster care. We make a difference in the lives of teens by forging pathways to adoption while building bridges between youth and a community of adults willing to open their hearts and homes.
DCFYI recruits and matches youth in foster care with mentors and host parents; holds events to help youth and adults make connections; helps youth find adoptive parents; and provides ongoing support to new families.
