Founded in 1893, the Agency focused its efforts on protecting at-risk children and assisting disadvantaged families. FACS’ services in foster care, adoption and child abuse prevention predate existing state child welfare programs.
FACS services are provided to: Special needs children waiting to be adopted * Free counseling for adopted children and their families * In-home therapy and support for parents to help them better respond to the emotional and behavioral problems of their foster children * Case Management services for homeless families with children * Therapeutic and recreational services for siblings placed in separate foster homes to help them bond with their biological sisters and brothers
FACS is a licensed New Jersey Adoption Agency and Outpatient Mental Health facility and an approved Medicaid provider. FACS is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services and is a United Way Partner.
