Description
Prevention and intervention of Sexual Assault and partner/family violence. Provides services to survivors of partner/family abuse, elder abuse, child abuse and sexual assault. Family Advocates services residents of Grant, Iowa, Lafayette Counties in Wisconsin. Family Advocates provides peer counseling, advocacy, crisis intervention, support groups, information and referral services for employment, education, legal, medical and other need services, assist in completeing legal forms and Crime Victim Compensation applications, advocacy for court procedures, emergency shelter and prevention and awareness education in service area and a 24-hour help line. All services are free. Volunteer servcies - Family Advocates utilizes volunteers/interns in all programs to enhance and expand the work of agency staff.
