Description
Provides non-acute, non-medical support services to homebound elderly, persons with cancer and other chronic illnesses, persons with disabilities, and their family caregivers. Services are proved by trained volunteers who usually are matched 1-to-1 with care recipipents. Services include transportaion to and from medical or social service appointments, grocery shoppiing and meal preparation, light household and yard chores, home vistation, phone reassurance, and information and referral. Services are provided to cre recipients regardless of the ability to pay.
