Description
Fair Chance was founded in 2002 to provide underserved children in Washington, D.C. access to quality programs in their communities.
Fair Chance embarks on free, customized, year long partnerships with community organizations serving youth and families to increase the effectiveness and sustainability of their youth programs. These organizations are doing critical work--tutoring, family strengthening, violence prevention, literacy, and job skills training--but they often need help to keep their doors open and their programs running.
Fair Chance works closely with its partner organizations to help them build the skills of key employees, institute more sophisticated financial management systems, craft strategic plans, hire and training new staff, and create evaluation tools to help determine the impact of their programs.
Working behind the scenes to create real, systemic change, Fair Chance ensures that every child has a fair chance to succeed.
