Description
Since 1969, Extend-A-Care for Kids has made quality after-school, summer, and preschool programming available to families in Austin, Hays, and Del Valle. Our mission is "to support families, employers, and communities by providing childcare to school-age children that is high in quality, convenient, affordable, and enriching." Annually, 3,500 children benefit from our 64 programs. Extend-A-Care is unique--we offer tuition subsidies to low-income families so everyone in the community has access to quality childcare; we are inclusive to children with special needs; our curriculum reinforces school day learning with math, science, reading, art, and sports activities that encourage healthy self-esteems and positive life practices.
