Description
Exceptional Care for Children is Delaware’s first and only pediatric skilled nursing facility. We provide 24 hour nursing care in a residential setting to children with complex medical needs who require some form of medical technology to stay alive. Exceptional Care for Children opened its doors in February 2006 and since then we have been home to 40 children and have successfully transitioned 19 of them home to their families. Our mission is to improve the lives of technology dependent children and their families through skilled nursing, transitional and palliative care. We are a haven for healing fragile bodies when improvement is possible and a refuge for nurturing vulnerable spirits when a cure is unattainable.
