EVERYBODY WINS! Los Angeles is a not-for-profit organization that uniquely combines reading and mentoring. Schools teach children how to read, EW!LA motivates children to want to read. As EW!LA instills a love of books, students’ literacy-related skills also improve. The mission of EVERYBODY WINS! is to increase children’s prospects for success in school and in life through one-to-one reading experiences with caring adults or older students.

At EVERYBODY WINS! Los Angeles, we believe every Los Angeles County elementary school student is entitled to the opportunity to learn on a level playing field, with the ability to read and feel
worthwhile. We accomplish this by bringing mentors into elementary schools at lunchtime for a weekly read-aloud session.
