EVERYBODY WINS!- Iowa is a privately funded, nonprofit organization that was started in Iowa in 2002. The Iowa organization is an independent affiliate of the national organization that began in Washington DC in 1991 by the U.S. Senate. With the leadership of Senator Tom Harkin and a devoted group of business leaders and educators, our mission is to promote and support literacy in our schools and community. We do that through a structured Power Lunch program that engages community as partners to promote literacy. The U.S. Department of Education has evaluated the program and supports the positive outcomes for students.
