Description

A 501(c)(3) organization that provides services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Evansville ARC began in 1954 when services for individuals with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities were not available in the community. Today, Evansville ARC serves over 1,000 individuals each year through a variety of programs and services including: an inclusive childcare center for children with and without disabilities; an ISO Registered manufacturing facility where people with and without disabilities work; an employment service (Community Job Link) which supports individuals with developmental disabilities in community-based employment; a day services program for adults with severe/profound disabiliteis; a transition program for high school students with disabilities entering into adult life.
