Description

Ethel's Tree of Life, Inc. has a mission to provide transitional training in life and work skills for youth and young adults who live with disabilities and/or special needs. ETL does this with mentoring and recreational activities or opportunities that put life and work skills into use. Some examples of our activities are: Life Skills Trips...ETL students have traveled to Philadelphia, New York City, and Old Quebec to work on social skills, communication skills, teamwork and problem solving skills, and, importantly, independent living skills! Urban Hikes to find out how to travel to a nearby city and then explore that city; Art Projects like our Ocean Mural which is displayed at the Portland Childrens' Museum; Peer to Peer Mentoring; Adult to Youth Mentoring; and so much more!
