Description
The death of a child leaves parents (and all family members) in a state of disbelief, sorrow, despair and hopelessness, with no understanding of how to go on in life without that child. With the proper love, support and hope, parents can rebuild their lives, creating new meaning and joy once again.
The Erika Whitmore Godwin Foundation & griefHaven provide all of the support and hope parents need at no cost. Today, the organization receives over 50,000 visits per month on their website (www.griefHaven.org) .
The Foundation's purpose is two-fold:
To provide support and hope to parents who lose a child, siblings who lose a brother or sister, and others impacted by that child's death at no cost; and, to educate specialists and others impacted by the death of a child as to how to best support those families through time.
