Description

The Erie County Victim Assistance Program assists those victimized by crime in Erie County, OHio, navigate the criminal justice system. The Victim Assistance programs works with those who are victimized by adults or juveniles, victims of property or personal crime. We have advocates within every court in the County and work with victims from the time of the investigation through post-conviction. The Victim Assistance Program also has a Rape Crisis Division which provides advocacy, support, and information to victims of sexual assault. The SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program is also a division of the Victim Assistance Program. The SANE is responsible for performing the forensic exam followihg the sexual assault.
