Description
Erath Excels! Academy is an open enrollment charter high school in its eighth year of existence. We are located in rural central Texas and serve students aged 14-22 from 14 different school districts. Over 90% of our students are at-risk and 65% qualify for the federal free and reduced lunch program. On average, 20% of our students are pregnant or are teen parents, 24% are adjudicated in the juvenile justice system, and over 25% of our students are learning disabled and/or emotionally disturbed.
Our teaching staff is highly qualified and we graduate over approximately 50 students a year. In the past two years, 30% of our graduates have enrolled in training beyond high school including enlisting in the military, enrolling in trades schools, as well as, two year and four year colleges.
We are presently able to do good things for our students and we look forward to the day when we are able to do great things for our students.
