Description
This is an outreach mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington for 3rd and 4th graders reading below grade level. Campers are referred by teachers as such and go to one of 6 camps throughout central and eastern KY. All funds are raised by the committee through grants and letter writing campaigns as Reading Camp is not a line item in the Diocesan Budget. Material is not religious in nature and all campers attend tuition free. Camps are one week long and staffed by volunteer teachers, support staff and counselors. Camps will begin June 11, 2007.
