This association works with children and adults with epilepsy and/or seizure disoders. There are over 180,000 new cases of epilepsy each year. The children as well as parents need to be educated. Epilepsy is not a respector of persons and can happen at any age for a number of reasons. There are several different types of epilepsy and this organization is trying to build a day camp of children with epilepsy. This is a very misunderstood illness and we have traveled the country educating people concerning epilepsy education. We have spoken before congress on two different occassions. We give a $500 scholarship each year to a senior who is graduating from high school who wants to go to college. Some of these kids can not even drive, but they are so smart and college bound.
