Description
With a mission to promote the economic self-sufficiency and family stability of local residents, EOTC annually serves over 2,000 men, women and children in the Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania area. Services encompass life skills and job readiness training, early child and parent education, youth mentoring and other family support. EOTC operates the county's multi-service Family Center, the region's only fatherhood program, mentoring and teen parenting programs for Scranton School District students, a multi-faceted offender life skills program, and other innovative initiatives. Several agency programs are modeled on nationally-recognized preventive education programs such: as Communities That Care, Parents Anonymous, Parents as Teachers, the Parent Child Home Program and Families and Schools Together. 20% of EOTC's staff members are fluent in Spanish.
