Description
Emerald Coast A&M Club, Inc. is a Florida Not-for-Profit Corporation and tax exempt, tax free charity under IRS Section 501 (c) 3. Membership is comprised of former students, parents of current students, and friends of Texas A&M University who live in the Florida Panhandle or the Alabama Wiregrass region. The club's finances are entirely dedicated to funding scholarships at Texas A&M, including a current campaign to endow a scholarship to be awarded by the school annually in perpetuity. The club is managed by volunteer officers without pay, has no facilities, and thus sends nearly 100% of funds raised to scholarships. In 2006, the club funded four $500 merit scholarships, two $500 special award scholarships, and donated $5,000 toward funding The Emerald Coast A&M Club Endowed Scholarship at Texas A&M.
