Elizabeth Bowers Zambia Education Fund

EBZEF is a nonprofit organization created to strengthen and provide educational opportunities through literacy in Lumwana West, Zambia -- a small rural village in Africa. Elizabeth Bowers (1979-2002) shared her compassionate spirit with the people of Lumwana West as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Beth died in a bicycle accident while serving as a PCV in northwest Zambia, donating her organs to over 21 African recipients. The scholarship legacy sustains Beth’s vision of service and global awareness by empowering the women and children Beth admired so much to build positive change from within.
