Description
Elements Contemporary Ballet is a new dance company in Chicago that combines the beauty of classical technique with contemporary verve. Boasting a unique and original style, Elements advances and explores ballet through the marriage of innovative concepts and classical art. Founded by Artistic Director Mike Gosney, the company trains and develops its work using the four elements of nature; fire, earth, air, and water; to each represent a major facet of dance; expression, physicality, focus, and freedom. Elements now presents concerts at the beautiful and classic Athenaeum Theatre on Chicago’s north side, and exposes youth to the art form with its new interactive community outreach program, "Move with Elements".
