Description
In 1970, a group of concerned Tallahassee citizens came together to examine seniors’ growing need for services. Responding to the issues caring citizens founded Elder Care Services as an effective, efficient and organized way to bring help to seniors.
Meals on Wheels delivered the first Tallahassee meals in May,1972-today volunteers deliver to over 300 homebound seniors Monday -Friday. Other services include providing basic necessary supplies and services such as a bath, clean clothes, a livable environment, trips to the doctor, and respite services for caregivers. The Adult Day Center opened its doors to provide quality care for elders while giving family members respite.
