For over 32 years, Eden I&R has consistently and creatively responded to the community’s changing needs through its mission of “linking people and resources.” Because no other centralized source for this information exists in Alameda County, Eden I&R has become a critical resource for thousands of at-risk individuals, such as youth, non-English speakers, the economically disadvantaged, people living with HIV/AIDS, domestic violence survivors, the elderly, the disabled, the homeless, and human service agencies seeking services for their clients. Current programs include: 2-1-1 Phone Line; Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) phone line; AIDS Housing and Information Project (AHIP); YouthLink phone line; Roving Housing Resource Programs; After-Hours Emergency Phone Service: Alameda County’s Children and Adult Protective Services, Foster Care Placement Line, and the Public Guardian’s Office; Disaster Recovery Services; and The Big Blue Book: The Directory of Human Services for Alameda County.
