Description

Ebony Horsewomen, Inc., (EHI) founded in 1984 by Patricia E. Kelly, is a 501(c) (3) non-profit
Youth development organization, directed by African-American female equestrians
whose mission is to encourage and empower inner-city youth toward positive and successful
lives through the use of horses. Ebony was founded the belief that the healing power of horses could aid the despair that many urban youth endure. Ebony Horsewomen operates as a full service Equestrian and Agricultural Center, bringing innovative equestrian, educational, therapeutic and Veterinary programs to youth (boys and girls) while creating an added dimension and vibrancy to the community. The organization offers a variety of programs which operates six days per week year-around. The organization’s new website is www.ebonyhorsewomen.us.
